Upon notarization of the contract dated 12. September 2013 Kai Capital Management GmbH & Co. KGaA has acquired
Reboplastic GmbH
headquartered in Kalletal, Germany.
Reboplastic (www.reboplastic.de) has been manufacturing thermoplastic synthetic components for more than 40 years. The company's core competencies include the consultation and support of its customers in the design and development of components and the selection of materials, which are required in the construction of moldings and tools, the production of plastic parts on thermoforming machines as well as downstream activities such as CNC-milling and the mounting of assembly components. Reboplastic's customers are located in Germany and other European countries and come from the automobile industry, field of medical technology, machine construction and other industries.
The current owner, who had accompanied the company since 2007, has sold the company for personal reasons. Prior to 2007, Reboplastic was owned by a large industrial holding company for over 25 years.
Franz Schwaab, who has been Managing Director of the company for years, will continue to lead the company and its 60+ employees. The sale will have no impact on the business operations of Reboplastic.
Kai Capital Management is a holding company, which acquires small to mid-sized companies, especially those, which are undergoing a plan of succession. Kai Capital Management acquires at least a majority stake in its targeted acquisitions and continues to work closely with the company’s existing management in accordance with ethical and entrepreneurial principles. Kai Capital Management’s focuses on the mid- and long-term success of the companies it acquires.
