Effective as of 13th December 2011 Kai Capital Management GmbH & Co. KGaA has acquired:
Kunststoffverarbeitung Dipl.- Ing. Ernst Frohn GmbH,
in the future: Kunststoffverarbeitung Frohn GmbH,
headquartered in Niederkassel.
Kunststoffverarbeitung Frohn was founded in 1991 by Mr. Dipl.-Ing. Ernst Frohn and has been active in the field of synthetic materials spray die-casting ever since. The company specializes in sprays of thermo plastic technically precise synthetic material parts for its customers, which produce custom-made tools for their own customers. The company’s exceptionally efficient and flexible structure allows it to react to its customers’ needs very quickly. Its customers are mainly mid-sized companies with which it has worked for many years and of which especially value the company’s reliability in delivery and supply and high quality products.
The acquisition takes place in the course of a succession, as Mr. Frohn would like to go into retirement in the medium-term and there is no suitable successor in his family. Ernst Frohn will continue to lead the company as sole managing director; and, therefore, the acquisition will result in no changes to the daily operations of the business. Together with Kai Capital Management, Mr. Frohn will stay with the company for the medium-term until a new managing director is put into place and will take active part in the handover process for an appropriate time necessary for the succession to take place. The future managing director should also be shareholder of the company. Also, after his retirement and handover, Ernst Frohn will continue to act as consultant and advisor to the company as well as landlord of the company’s real estate.
Kai Capital Management is an investment holding company, which acquires small and medium-sized companies, especially those confronted with successorship issues. Kai Capital Management has acquired a majority stake in Kunststoffverarbeitung Frohn GmbH and will lead the company together with the company’s current management. Kai Capital Management places a high priority on the mid to long-term investment and successful development of Kunststoffverarbeitung Frohn GmbH.
