Kai Capital has acquired a majority stake in Carpentier

Effective as of 1st August 2011, Kai Capital Management GmbH & Co. KGaA has acquired a majority shareholding in the packaging machine producer Carpentier Packaging GmbH, headquartered in Wörrstadt, Germany.

Carpentier has been producing high quality packaging machines for the food and non-food industries in its own production facilities since 1996. Carpentier’s loyal long-term customer base includes well-known companies in the industry.

Bernhard Carpentier, who will remain as a company shareholder and managing director, will be joined by Stephan Boldt who will strengthen the company’s management as Director of Distribution and Finance. Stephan Boldt is also a shareholder of the company.

Kai Capital Management acquires medium-sized companies, which are in challenging circumstances as well as successor situations. Portfolio companies in which Kai Capital Management acquires a majority stake are managed together with the target company’s existing management according to entrepreneurial principles. The focus of the holding is on the middle and long-term success of the companies.
